For Samford and surrounds
Bring your style. Be part of the day.
Ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, line dancing, cultural dance, Zumba, dance fitness, Ballroom, Latin and more—if it gets Samford moving, we want to hear from you.
Share what you do
Offer a short introductory class, beginner taster, demonstration or performance. Introduce your studio, meet other teachers and help locals discover the dance happening around them.
Giving back to local studios
After covering venue and event costs, Beyond The Steps will donate a portion of the proceeds back to local dance studios in Samford and surrounds. The amount and how it will be shared will be confirmed as the event takes shape.

A day shaped by local dance
One hall. A whole community of movement.
During the day
Local studios and teachers share classes, tasters and demonstrations. We’ll build the daytime timetable around expressions of interest, then contact each group to discuss its session and practical arrangements.
Into the evening
Beyond The Steps will run the evening social at Samford Farmers Hall. We’d love participating teachers and studios to join us on the dance floor too. Further social details will follow.

A hall with a history of dancing
Let’s bring that spirit together again.
Samford Farmers Hall opened in 1918. Its story began when local farmers saw the need for a larger social venue after an overcrowded ball. The community funded a hall from Lutwyche, which was dismantled and reassembled in Samford. Saturday-night dances became part of its early life.
Today, we’d love to honour that community spirit by bringing local dance styles and teachers together under one roof.

Want your style represented?
No polished proposal needed. Tell us what you teach and what you could bring. An expression of interest starts a conversation; it does not commit your studio to a session or confirm a place in the programme.
